Years ago, this botanical jungle was famous for its clay. Potters from Shimla used to frequent this place and that’s why we named it Camp Potters. While Pottery has taken a back seat in Shimla, we still encourage pottery at our Camp. While you are at Camp Potters, you might just come across some potters making their stuff. Indian Handmade Pottery is famous worldwide and we support these potters so that their art is recognised by everyone.
Camp Potters Hill is located inside the Van Vihar on one of the 7 hills of Shimla – Summer Hill. Summer Hill is famous for Himachal Pradesh University and its Railway Station. You can call it a suburb of Shimla and it is situated 6 kms west to the Shimla Ridge. Summer Hill is the greenest belt of Shimla and you will only see pine and deodhar trees.
Camp Potters is famous in Shimla for birding. You will spot one of the most rarest and exotic birds here. The Himachal Forest department has done quite a bit to conserve this and that’s why Camp Potters is the only Eco Tourism Resort in Shimla.
